Hey guys. I have a new contract opportunity where I will start out using

SketchUp which I am very familiar with. However after a few months

or so I will have the opportunity to move into a more permanent

position using Solid Works. In the meantime I need to start learning.

Is there a demo copy I can download?

What would be the best way to start learning SW?

Thanks for any help.

You can download a trial version of it from SW but i believe its a 30 day trial. Im not sure of any other way to get a copy(unless you are unemployed).

Look on the Home page of CADTutor for the Solidworks Interactive Tour. You'll have to scroll down a bit. Yeah, I know, it's not a free 30-day trial, but it's a start.

Thanks guys. If it helps my wife is a school teacher, she may be able to get a discount.

If SW does have a 30 day demo (or otherwise) I am not seeing it. I also don't see the Interactive Tour on the CADTutor Home page.

I am having my Gallbladder removed in a couple hours so I guess I am a bit preoccupied.
