Merging 2 Drawings - Object Size Problem

Hi!

I have created a drawing, very basic, for an event we're about to start setup for. I have added all the elements to the event except lighting. So I requested the lighting from the suppliers and they used a WYSIWYG CAD editor.

They sent me the file, and when I copy and paste their drawing into mine, their drawing is so much smaller than mine.

His scale was set to meters, mine was set to milimeters. I need his drawing in mine.

I have tried to set both the drawings UNITS properties exactly the same, but to no avail.

It seems that when I copy and paste from the source to the destination, it takes the numerical value of the units and pastes it as the units I have in the destination file. For instance:

If Source has units set to meters and Destination has source set to milimeters:

I copy a line of 24m from source and paste it into destination, the line becomes 24mm. It's rather frustrating

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I can email the drawings to you guys, (roughly 4mb in size), if you need to see them with your own eyes. In the meantime, here are some screenshots:

When you paste, use the scale option and scale up by a factor of 1000 and then insert.
