FieldGuyonCAD Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 I always find myself fiddling around with the size of my leaders, mtext and dimensions. Sometimes my dimension text height needs to be adjusted to less than 1/32" to make it fit in with my drawings while to get text the same size it has to be 2" (I usually always draw asbuilts of a roughly 50x50 foot area). But these sizes always seems to change. I know that the relation between scale and text size is a very easy topic to understand but I cannot find a good explanation anywhere. Can someone be more effective than a google search and direct me to a good explaination? Thanks again -the ever appreciative field guy Quote
JD Mather Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 What standard are you using? ANSI standard is 1/8" text height - use paperspace layouts and annotative dimensioning or dimscale to control the text for you so that you don't have to worry about it. Set it in your template and forget it (if using dimscale it is reciprocal of viewport scale). Quote
ReMark Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 By any chance have you drawn your objects in model space at full size? You haven't "scaled" them like one would do on the drafting board have you? Quote
