I found a particular hatch pattern on a drawing that i wish to use. Although i can change the extents of the hatch, my autocad does not recognise the pattern. How can i inherit the properties and create a new hatch that i can use regularly??

Thanks for the advice. The lisp file seems to work but when i select the hatch i want to get it comes up with the following:

Select hatch: ; error: bad argument value: positive 0

Is there a reason that the lisp file could not work on certain hatches?

I don't know what could be the problem. You could always use wblock to make a drawing with just the hatch in it, and anytime you need that hatch just drag and drop that file into the drawing and then hatch.

What is the hatch type you are wanting maybe we know of a free one that will match.
