Lewis C Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Hello, I am having a problem with a bump map, it stretches on the curved surface of my front panel trim. Its only since I have updated the model it has done this. It looked fine beforehand. As you can see this is in Autodesk Showcase. It was created in Inventor and there is no Showcase section to post a thread so I thought id post it here. Please help!! Quote
Lewis C Posted August 30, 2012 Author Posted August 30, 2012 The only bump settings I get are these... Quote
Lewis C Posted September 7, 2012 Author Posted September 7, 2012 Can anyone come up with a solution? Quote
Bishop Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Best solution is UV mapping, which Inventor doesn't support, so far as I know. I don't know about Showcase. You can send your models over to 3DS Max and do your texturing there if you want, but texturing / lighting / rendering is an art form in and of itself. Quote
Lewis C Posted September 10, 2012 Author Posted September 10, 2012 Hi Bishop, Thanks for the reply, yes 3DS Max is an idea but I don't know how to use it haha. There are different methods of applying textures in Showcase I just need to understand them better. Quote
