KennyJ Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Is it possible to create decals that have cutouts in them? Also create decals that do not have square or circle outlines? I'm having trouble figuring this out. Thank You. Quote
KennyJ Posted October 4, 2012 Author Posted October 4, 2012 Jpg Example Attached. Its just the outline of a decal I use, but how do I remove the white space at the bottom right corner of the decal? Quote
Pablo Ferral Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Inventor uses the bottom right pixel as the transparency colour. Edit your image to make magenta the colour of all the parts you want to be transparent. Right-click the image in the sketch and select properties. In the Properties dialog box, check Use Mask. Quote
JD Mather Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 When creating the image use an uncommon color (like maybe Magenta) as transparency mask in area you don't want in the Decal. (make sure the lower right corner pixel is this mask color as that is how Inventor determines what color in the image to use as mask. Caution - use only *.bmp as other formats compress the image by changing colors. Place the image in sketch and right click on the image and select Properties. Set the mask. ...guess I'm too slow on the typing - but I included an Image Properties attachment. Quote
