How to release the command that's in progress with the mouse

When i press a command, for example in the sketch environment the line command, it remains active until i right click and press done or press Esc.

If i don't use these methods and press again the already pressed command button-nothing happens, it isn't released.

I want it to release at the second press of the mouse. is there a setting that does that?

What is wrong with using right click and gesture to Cancel (ESC)?

Why do you even need to cancel the command? Simply start next (correct) command will cancel previous command.

It doesn't always work out that easily, though.

There's some things where you have to cancel the last command before starting the next one. In drawings, for instance, if you're doing dimensions, you have to cancel the dimension tool before you can change sheets. Sometimes in a part file, when you're doing sketches, if you want to do (for instance) constraints after doing a line or a circle, you have to cancel or it won't recognize the push of the constraint button. That's less consistent, though - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Not sure why.
