the downing effect Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 I'm using autocad 2012, when I save as dxf r12 and open the file back up the dimension style is no longer current. Any changes I have made to the dimstyle are listed as an override and are no longer applied. for example if I change the units to fractional they will show decimal. I think I can fix it locally but that won't help the people on the receiving end outside of our facility. Any help is appreciated Quote
Organic Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 Is there a reason you need to save it as a R12 dxf? It might be a compatibility issue with you saving to such an old file format and it is removing unsupported features. Quote
pendean Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 You can't make features not available in old software show up. Sorry. Quote
the downing effect Posted December 2, 2012 Author Posted December 2, 2012 I appreciate the help. The only reason is some of our vendors' cnc equipment is older, so we try to provide them with the most basic file type possbile. At the same time we didn't want to keep a dwg and a dxf incase someone in the office changed one and didn't update the other. Thanks. Quote
