Hi to all

i would like to know if i can put pass protection on a block and have no one be able to change thing about the block? So what I mean is I send you a block that has pass protection on it, you can paste it into your drawing but cannot explode it to make some change on it. Can this be done.

thank to all that reply

not easily. You can create a block to be non-explodable in the block editor to stop casual exploders but that won't offer much protection to a determined mind. If something was that important to me I would make an image of the block and then make the block from that image.

Generally speaking you cannot password protect individual entities within a drawing. The best you can do is make it nearly impossible to edit them easily but anyone with a little bit of AutoCAD knowledge will soon figure out what you did and undo it.
