Boboy & Buninang Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 We happen to have a file which is only 1,500 KB in size, After I had pasted some blocks from sub consultants (landscape) the file became 16,000 KB. I had only pasted maybe around 100 lines from their file. Since the file is huge, we decided to delete the landscape block that we have pasted but the file size is still the same. We had audit and purge it. In our file we tried to copy a single text and paste it in a new clean file but after pasting this single text, the file size of this new and clean file became 13,000 KB. Regretfully we don't have an original file where the landscape was not yet pasted. Can you please help us on how we can reduce our file size and bring it back to the original one. Thanks! Quote
jiggly_jelloo Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 I used the -purge command and selected R for regapps and that cleaned up some of my files substantially. Make sure you use the (-) before the purge command. Quote

ReMark Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 I'd recommend also trying the OVERKILL command found in your Express Tools then run the -purge command (first for Regapps, second for All). I just used the technique on a drawing a forum member sent me and cut the file size almost 50%. Quote
