Openantics Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 is it possible to move points to a layer using point numbers only? i have a series of points (~3,000) i would like to move to a specific layer, but really dont want to select each one by hand! I do know the points numbers. thanks you! OA Quote
Emigrato Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Are you talking about COGO points, or what else? Quote
Organic Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Are the point numbers sequential for the most part? If so, just go to Points on the Prospector and in the table at the bottom of panel, select the points (click the first one, then hold down the select key and click the last point etc; if there is a break/points you don't want to select, then hold down ctr and start selecting the next lot after that) => Right click => Select, then just change the layer... If the points are in no reasonably sequential order then you will need to explain your question better. Quote
Openantics Posted May 12, 2013 Author Posted May 12, 2013 Hi Organic - that worked! the only missing step: Right click on the Point Layer header (not the points themselves) => then select "EDIT", then the layer dialogue opens up. Emigrato - I replied to your post promptly but my message never posted. sorry to appear lazy! solved OA Quote
