Andy Boss Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 I recently received a new computer. Still using LDD. When I zoom in on an object, my lines seem to look like arcs and some lines disappear. I am trying to edit the end of a line and when I zoom in I can't get a clear view of everything. Is there a setting somewhere that I need to check? Quote
Handiman Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Try REGEN ALL command. It is the View Menu about 3rd item down. Also try WHIPTHREAD, check out the options in the Help menu and then try each for a day to see which one you prefer more. Quote

Not sure what's going on? Never had this problem before. Quote
ReMark Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Is this a 2D or 3D drawing? Do you have hardware acceleration enabled or disabled? Usually people report the opposite problem: arcs and circles looking like they are comprised of line segments. Quote
Andy Boss Posted May 20, 2013 Author Posted May 20, 2013 This is 3D drawing. Where would I find hardware acceleration? Quote
KICK-ASS Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 You enter the command -3DCONFIG *enter* Then L *enter* Then H *enter* From there you read what it gives you and find the setting/option you are looking for. Quote
Cad64 Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Type VIEWRES at the command line and change the setting to something higher. VIEWRES: http://docs.autodesk.com/ACD/2010/ENU/AutoCAD%202010%20User%20Documentation/index.html?url=WS1a9193826455f5ffa23ce210c4a30acaf-5250.htm,topicNumber=d0e331503 Quote
ReMark Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 "...my lines seem to look like arcs..." If this had read "my arcs look like lines" then I could see where Viewres would be the culprit. Maybe the OP got it backwards? Quote
RobDraw Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 If it is lines that look like arcs, could it be that the aspect ratio for the resolution on the monitor is set wrong? Quote
Andy Boss Posted May 21, 2013 Author Posted May 21, 2013 Thanks. That seemed to do the trick. you enter the command -3dconfig *enter*then l *enter* then h *enter* from there you read what it gives you and find the setting/option you are looking for. Quote
