Triangle pipe grip missing

I'm editing med gas copper pipe in autocad mep 2014 and I'm missing the triangular grip in the middle of the pipe that allows you to change the elevation of the pipe. Any suggestions?

 

NEVER MIND:

 

Like with most things, a simply setting UCS to WCS has fixed the issue.
