Anyone successfully mask text that is dtext, annotive and rotated? i have contour labels that are annotive, dtext and at all different angles, text mask wont work. So i dont have to trim the contours out for the text.

Can't open the .dwg up (don't have AutoCAd on my home pc). If you convert the dtext to mtext (with the txt2mtxt command - although you may want to use a lisp to do this command on them all at once, instead of individually) you should be able to then get that background mask working for you.
