Block resets itself after saving

I have a simple title mark block. It consists of a view number, view name and scale. When I modify any of the three fields everything updates perfectly. After saving the drawing, only the view name part of the block resets itself to the default text. ???? Any ideas?

some times if you explode the block and re-block it, i find it fixes a lot of problems with title blocks.

Not sure if that will help or not but its one thing to try
