gargoyle27 Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 i need to edit a model done by a former employee and he drew it on a weird angle for some reason so i can't put it on an idw on the proper angle is there a way to change the angle of how it displays on idws? and i mean by 30 degrees, i know it does 90s already Quote
JD Mather Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 You can right click on the view after initial placement and either Rotate one of the lines to Horizontal or Vertical or by desired angle. BTW is this a drawing of a part or of an assembly? Most often if assembly the user ungrounded the first part and moved it. This can be corrected by adding Mate-flush constraints between the xy, xz, yz planes of the logical base part and the assembly. Quote
gargoyle27 Posted May 5, 2010 Author Posted May 5, 2010 yes it is an assembly, i'll try mate-flush first, thanks Quote
gargoyle27 Posted May 5, 2010 Author Posted May 5, 2010 i actually did know you can rotate, but i kept trying to use the wrong base view since you can't (or i don't know how to) rotate a shaft in the manner i needed to (towards/away) Quote
