automaticad
I wonder if AutoCAD has a feature of smart dimension and handle of spline (tangent weighting). If yes, how to?
ReMark
Maybe you should be using an up to date MCAD program like Inventor. We're half way through the year 2014. It's time to step out of the past.
JD Mather
"Smart dimension"? Sounds like SolidWorks experience. Autodesk Inventor is the equivalent of SolidWorks, not AutoCAD. And yes, in Inventor you can dimension the handles of a spline.
ReMark
I take it that Solidworks also allows for tangent weighting?
JD Mather
I typed out a lengthy explanation and then somehow lost it (my connection up here on the mountain is iffy). Short description - a unitless dimension controls the "weight of influence" or curvature/flatness at a spline node. I assumed OP has prior SWx experience as SWx has a tool called Smart Dimension for this.
