uhm...I really think you should ask someone in your office? The person that made this drawing perhaps?

im assuming that the cut out is 30 wide X 16.25 deep? if so the 2 lines therefore would be 43.3

Er, that'll be me then

The original is here: http://www.cadtutor.net/tutorials/autocad/site-layout-exercise.php

All required dimensions are included and the drawing can be constructed from those given. It's an exercise I use with my students regularly. You don't need the distances of the sides since you are given the arc radius.

But from where i have to start to draw arc? If i don't have those sides?

Posted

Hmm, perhaps that's not clear enough. The centre point of the arc is the middle of the building base line.

Aha! Then he was asking in the right place after all, my mistaken then

I just did the tutorial myself and except for a tiny snag where it took me a while to figure out where the center of the smaller arc was - I think I did good :) Since the measuremnt '15' is from that baseline as well, I figured that was the center.

Nicely done with the use of all kinds of coordinate-entries though, thatä's why you're the teacher

That fully explains why Stonehedge looks the way it does.

So what i have to do if i want to finish this exercise :)

Posted

I guess you'd have to locate the building corner (242,102) and finish the interior off. Did you construct the more rectangular of the two interior objects yet?

Posted

I guess that's a statement and not a question.

Then it appears you are on your way to finishing the tutorial. If you have further questions regarding this tutorial post back here. Questions regarding a new tutorial should be kept separate from this thread so as not to confuse things. Keep practicing and good luck in your endeavors. Never stop learning.
