How to reposition Attributes in blocks?

hi guys, have got a clients drawing come in and basically they should have the same block on each floor.

each block "RN" & "NAME" are room information and have 4 attributes assigned to it.

however on basement they have "RN" and on ground has "NAME"

the attributes are different.

RN

1. Room No

2. Dept

3. Room Name

4. Area m2

Name

1. Room No

2. Area m2

3. Room Name

4. Dept

these blocks have already been completed, but is there a way for me to edit them to have them identical?

i don't usually work with attributed blocks so am very rusty on them.

thanks

Chris

The command for editing attributed blocks is 'battman'. Once your in the editing layout the normal AutoCad commands apply. Check the help file for specific attribute definitions.

Excellent I'm glad you got it sorted out. Sometimes all we needs is a little push in the right direction and then let intuition take over.

dunuh, Nunuh, nunuh, Nunuh, dunuh, Nunuh, nunuh, Nunuh,

battman!!

I was wondering when someone was gonna do that! Even on previous post about battman I was thinking the same thing.

right same block different problem! lol

* note anything in "[xxxx]" is an attribute.

right the people that created this block obviously wanted to cause me headaches!

[Room No]

[Area] sq.m

[Room Name]

[Dept]

2 problems first off next to the "area" attribute they have text "sq.m" for m².

now i've changed that to m² easy enough.

now it lines up fine if the area is say 100.09m², however when there's an area of 1.57m² it looks stupid ie 1.57 m²

is there anyway that i can have the area attribute to always have "m²" in it, regardless of what is typed, so it looks nice and pretty?? lol

[Room No]

[Area]

[Room Name]

[Dept]

this is doing my head in as i have 60 floor plans i need to change! doh

thanks in advance
