whould anyone pleaase be able to tell me if it is at all possible to convert a autocad 3d model to a solidworks 3d model?

 

solidworks dwg editor keeps telling me that the autocad file is corrupt even though ive drawn it several times ?

Are you trying to import the drawing file of the object you have posted in another thread as Shell03.dwg?

It's all beyond me I'm afraid. I do not use Solidworks.

 

You can't take the 2D content and create a 3D model?

Why? What is your purpose in SWx?

 

You say it is a solid?

If so acisout in AutoCAD and then open that in SWx.

Does Autocad give you an error? What does it report on the command line?

Hit F2 and copy and paste the contents of the text window here.

 

I'm assuming that you checked the correct folder where you specified the file to be saved?
