  1. When I select replace model reference and choose a similar part (22 gauge socket), it comes in with no dimensions. Is there any way to keep these dimensions from the originally referenced file. Basically, I don't want to have to re-dimension parts and arrange them every time I load them. I want to keep the OL, ID, OD, etc. in the same spots to create consistency through all part drawings. I can retrieve the dimensions I used to create the part, but the arrange command is terrible. After doing it I have to go back in and adjust everything, and it auto snaps to odd locations, sometimes to nowhere at all. I have setup the base offsets for dim commands and that works moderately well, but there is not a general dimension snap command where I can see the snap locations/make spacing equal if it doesn't snap correctly. In AutoCAD I can setup a construction line grid and snap dimensions to it. Inventor doesn't work this way and won't snap the dimensions to the construction lines (if I create a new sketch in paperspace). There is baseline dim but that usually over constraints everything and again need to arrange/adjust. Currently it is taking longer to dimension than it does to draw and getting all drawings to be arranged the same is painful. Any general help on consistent dimension alignment/arrangement would be great.
