    issue with cut/fill slopes

Hello, I have a 2:1 slope on each side of the assembly. If the slope can reach the eg surface in a positive direction it catches there even though it would work in a negative direction as it is configured in the assembly. If the slope cannot catch the eg in a positive direction it 'fills' properly. I have tried this with a linkslopetosurface and a daylight subassembly and get the same results. Any help or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks, Phil
  2. Does someone know how to make my grading appear in another drawing without having to copy and paste it? I mean like xref but just only my grading and not everything else in that drawing..

    Grading parameters

Hi, I'm just trying to find out if there are grading parameters, im trying to grade up to a surface at 15% however in areas 15% will not hit the surface, so im trying to set a window for the grading to go between, ie, grade to surface, using a grade of 15% to 3% trying to get the highest possible grade where it can, Any help would be awesome, Spacey
  4. I have been given a project in which we are going to design sidewalk along an existing road for approx. 6300 feet. The right of way is 60 ft., and the existing pavement is 24'. There are intersecting sidestreets along the length of the road approx. every 300 feet. The road currently has a swale in the 18 ft. between the eop and the ROW. In the proposed design, we will add a 6 ft. sidewalk 6" inside the exist. row, then have a 1 ft 10:1 slope, then regrade whatever ditch we can in the remaining 10.5 feet. We will need cross sections every 50 feet and calculate earthworks, so I really want to find a way to use the software to create the grading. I have limited experience with Civil 3d, and I really can't even come up with a strategy on how to attack this assignment. I don't know if I should try to use corridors or if there is another way to create the information needed to show the design correctly in the sections. I would appreciate any ideas on a strategy? Thank you!
