I have a part that has a crimp on the end where it gets bent after manufacturing. The drawing will show the part without the bend so it can be dimensioned and manufactured. I also want to have the isometric and section views with the bend shown so they can see what the part will look like when it is done.
My question is how do I get one view to have the bend suppressed and the other active without creating two model files. Currently I have the model saved as two different files, one with the bend suppressed AND one with the bend active so when in paperspace (called a Drawing in Inventor) I have two different parts that have to be referenced. Trying to use only one model, I cannot suppress the bend feature in paperspace (I can see the feature in the Model Tree at left but does not give an option to suppress) and if I suppress in modelspace it affects all views. The main reason for not wanting two drawings is that if I make a change to the part I have to save as two drawings every time, one bent-one not. Is there any way to suppress a feature in one view and not the other in the same paperspace drawing? Any ideas?
