wercha Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 I have a problem - all the palettes with those commands like line, spline, cone etc. disappeared so the only panel in my AutoCAD is the one "file, edit, view, insert..." Anybody knows how to add the other ones??? Quote

ecospec Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 I'm not working in 2008, but are you looking for the toolbars? If so, it is as easy as right clicking on an empty space by the drop down menus. Go down to the ACAD tab and it will list all of the toolbars. Just select the ones you need. Quote
CADDict Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 Are you saying you added them, then closed AutoCAD, then they were gone when you opened AutoCAD again? You will see a toolbar that looks like this... Put all the toolbars you need on the screen, then use the drop down button seen here on this toolbar. Choose "Save Current As". This is the only way to save your personal toolbar settings. Otherwise, it's just going to revert back to "out of box" condition every time you open AutoCAD. This box switches you from 2D to 3D environments as well. You'll have to do the same thing for 3D. FWIW, I got rid of the AutoCAD standard ones altogether and made my own. One for 2D and one for 3D. SLW210 Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 I think he is referring to the menus at the top. Sounds like the ACAD.CUI went bad. Try resetting the CUI in the interface. Here is a link to Autodesk's Instructions for Restoring the CUI . It could also be this Missing Menus. You could try _MENULOAD and see if reloading the acad.cui will work. The "acad.cui" file is located at C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2008\R17.1\enu\Support This happened to my boss a few weeks ago. He had the IT guy run a reinstall from the CD, but there is also a virgin copy in \Program Files\[application]\UserDataCache\Support Quote
Guest LElkins Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 welcha, do you in fact mean Toolbars, menus or palettes? A menu is a drop down list, eg, File, Edit, etc. A toolbar generally has icons, similar to those in Word, Excel, etc. A palette example is the Properties palette. Please be more specific. Cheers Quote

All menue, toolbars and pallettes are gone. Only "Acrobat Markups" is showing in toolbar space. I went to following address: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2008\R17.1\enu\Support I used menuload and find acad.cui file from above address but it didn't loaded. Is there any comment on how can I bring back my menus and toolbars? Quote
khoshravan Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 I was able to solve my problem by loading "acadSampleWorkspaces.CUI". The name sounds to be user-defined but I don't remember defining such a CUI. I solved my problem by try and error all cui's in menuload window box. Quote
ReMark Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 The CUI you should have loaded would be named acad.cui and not the acadsampleworkspaces.cui in my opinion. Quote

I agree with you, but acad.cui didn't bring and acadsampleworkspaces.cui solved my problem. Maybe mistakenly I have defined such a cui in the past. But know I don't know how to change to acad.cui again? Quote
