Problem with Impression Drop Shadow

hello all,

 

i created some plan view blocks in impression from PNG files

 

they look great except I now cant get them to have a shadow, all the existing blocks that come with impression i can place shadow on, but my new blocks wont show a shadow, any thoughts?

What I do is create a new style with the drop shadow within the block itself (double click on the block. Or, you can when editing the block add a drop shadow to the line style it has within the block.

this works great with the blocks that come with Impression

 

but not my new blocks I can create a new style in the block editor, then "add style element" and add the shadow, it will say in the style pallette is has the shadow turned on, but then not show up
