Command: Manick Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 I tried doing some research on my own but found little actual discussion about commonly used programs that were used for making most video tutorials I see made of 3ds Max. I tried using Fraps, hoping it would work but it only crashed 3ds Max every time I started it. I want to do voice recording with the same software as well since I have a microphone. If anyone has some recommendations that meet these two criteria I'd greatly appreciate it, especially if the program is easy to learn and setup. Quote
hazardman Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 this may work...i remember doing some test quite a while ago and it seemed ok...best of all it's free!.. http://camstudio.org/ Quote
Command: Manick Posted April 30, 2009 Author Posted April 30, 2009 Thanks a lot hazardman! Works perfect and took only minutes to setup Actually, I jumped the gun and thought MPC was the player which I was watching the video play back on but it turns out it was just the video playback program provided by the CamStudio installation. I set it up to playback with MPC but It wont work with ffdshow Video Codec or any of the others that I've tried. I have the latest Combined Community Codec Pack. Unfortunately I know close to nothing about video compression and codecs so if you know what codecs I need to get it to work so I can download them I'd appreciate it. Quote
hazardman Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 don't know too much but did you try and play the file with a different media player...what is the intended use of these files?..flash playback on your own webpage?...youtube?...off a server in a class room?... Quote
Command: Manick Posted May 2, 2009 Author Posted May 2, 2009 It will probably end up being privately distributed first to get some constructive criticism from people I know, and will be hosted on an uploader site. Quote
