spursnutter Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 With the good old blue grip boxes, I was wondering if there was a way to move these to any location you want??? Quote
ReMark Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 While there are many aspects of grips that you can control I believe that moving them to other locations is not one of them. Why do you want to move them and where would you move them to? Could you provide an example? Quote
spursnutter Posted April 30, 2009 Author Posted April 30, 2009 Basically I have many plates with a hole in the middle and instead of moving via center object snap I could move the blue grip box to the hole and just pick and move in one command. Quote
ReMark Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 I thought that circles have grips located at their center point and their quadrants. Quote
MaxwellEdison Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Sounds like it's a block. If so, open it in the block editor (BEDIT). If it's a dynamic block, insert a base point parameter at the center of the circle and add it to the selection sets of anything affecting the circle. If it is not dynamic, just select everything and move it all starting with the circle's center as the first point of displacement, and entering 0,0,0 as the second point of displacement. After either method, close the block editor and save changes to all block instances. If the block is/was in a separate file, use the WBLOCK command, with the Block radio button set, to overwrite the original block, or create a revision as required. Hope that helps Quote
