Good Morning everyone!!

I have a unique situation here. At this time I am using ACAD 08's dataextraction command to pull info from a block to load into a survey machine used in the field by my company called Trimble. Now when I use this command I create a cvs file that contains the Attribute Name,X,Y,Z coordinates. Once loaded into the Trimble program it creates points at the designated coordinates with the Name attached. additional points can be entered manually into Trimble, in the field, without having to go through ACAD again. Everyones happy, right?

Now my boss is asking me to "import" any newly added points from the field back into the ACAD drawing. Now the short answer is, open the cvs in Note Pad, find the newly added points name and cordinates, insert a block at the coordinates, and rename attribute.

Well that is fine for the occasional addition, but when asks to do 50+, that's not very efficiant. My boss is convinced that there is a way to mass import. If I open the cvs into ACAD, it simple makes a table in the drawing.

So basically what I need is a command to this, or perhaps a lisp that will place a block at the coordinate while renaming the attribute accordingly.

Attached is a drawing with the Point Block that I use, saved in 2000 format, and a sample cvs. Bear in mind that in the point block, only the center text is an attribute.

Thanks.
