Hi,

I'm trying to create a dynamic block for a ladder which I would like to be able to stretch left and right, with the rungs arraying as soon as the stretch reaches a certain distance (270mm).

I've attached a screenshot of what I mean. Any ideas if this is possible?

you are almost there. The exclaimation mark is because you haven't associated the array action with a parameter - in this case distance.

I would do it slightly differently to you though. I would only put one distance grip so that I could just stretch it upwards rather than for either end.

Thanks dbroada,

I've sussed it out now! I just needed to change the way I thought the array worked (as it normally does!) for some reason I thought it would work different!

I've also taken your advice and used 1 grip point on the linear.

Many thanks! (and thanks for not spoon feeding me, made me think!)

That's the way I try to do it. Easier for me and more likely that you (others) will remember.

I do get a lot of "just post the block" type replies so your's was nice.
