Dan911 Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 A 3D modeler program I use instructions for importing a DXF is to open it in autocad and export it as a .3ds file. Import and save as a DXF. Than I was able to import into program. Autocad 2005 use to have this option to export to a .3ds. Now I'm using 2009 and when I choose export there isn't a choice for a .3ds file. Is there another way to do this or 2009 no longer has this option? Thanks in Advance, Dan Quote
David Bethel Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 I know nothing about it this seems legit. -David http://autodesk.blogs.com/between_the_lines/2007/04/autocad_3dsout_.html Quote
Dan911 Posted May 2, 2009 Author Posted May 2, 2009 Thanks for the fast response David. I was hesitant at first since it says it for 2007-2008 and I have 2009, but it works fine. I find it a little annoying that I have to load it each time I open AC to use it, and it's not added to my export list and have to use the command line, but I'm very happy I don't have to resort back to 2005. Thanks again, Dan Quote
