A 3D modeler program I use instructions for importing a DXF is to open it in autocad and export it as a .3ds file. Import and save as a DXF.

Than I was able to import into program.

Autocad 2005 use to have this option to export to a .3ds. Now I'm using 2009 and when I choose export there isn't a choice for a .3ds file. Is there another way to do this or 2009 no longer has this option?

Thanks in Advance,

Dan

Thanks for the fast response David.

I was hesitant at first since it says it for 2007-2008 and I have 2009, but it works fine.

I find it a little annoying that I have to load it each time I open AC to use it, and it's not added to my export list and have to use the command line, but I'm very happy I don't have to resort back to 2005.

Thanks again,

Dan
