Hey there, so basically I'm working with a block that has an image in it. I imported the block from another drawing. So when I go to edit the block in place and choose "automatically select all nested objects" it tells me "** Object reference missing: AcDbRasterImage, to AcDbRasterImageDef." I then tried "Prompt to select nested object" which works for editing the block but not the attributes.

I need to add new attributes and move some of the old ones around but can't seem to be able to do that. When I use the BATTMAN command I can see the attributes are there on the block but when I double click the block to insert text for the attribute they aren't on that menu. Also the old attributes haven't moved after I save changes.

Anyone know whats up?

Thanks

Hmm... I get that message too sometimes when editing blocks and xrefs, maybe you have to ensure that the image path that is contained within the block is up to date?

Or ensure the block is uniformly scaled, sometimes if it is stretched it wont work.

I to would like to know the answer.

Images in drawings work similar to xrefs, However they cannot be attached or binded to a drawing or block. You must ensure that the image is in the path or same directory as the drawing you are placing it in. Just type IMAGE command and browse for the image to set the path.

Use the ATTSYNC command to update your blocks after you edit them.
