jbreard Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Hello everyone, I searched the forum quite hard and didn't found my answer. So here is my problem. When drawing with "dynamic input" toogle on, the info display for the pline lenght or the angle (for example) always appears at around the middle of the line I'm trying to draw. This is pretty annoying when zooming in to snap some end point because the display is simply lost. Is it any option to lock the display near the end of the drawed line? Didn't found anything of the kind in the "dyn" options. Did I miss something ? Thanks in advance if you have (or not) any clue regarding the problem Jacques BREARD Quote
ReMark Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 You can turn Dynamic Input off temporarily by holding down the F12 key. Would that be an exceptable solution? Quote
jbreard Posted May 6, 2009 Author Posted May 6, 2009 First, thanks for your answer Sorry if I'm kind of unclear in English but it's not my mother tongue. My problem is not to get rid of the dynamic input but to make it work more efficiently. Basically, I'm losting the lenght information because it is displayed in a part of the drawing not located on my screen. Say that I'm drawing a 1000m line between coordinates (0,0) and (0,1000). The dynamic input display the lenght at around the middle of the line, that is to say (0,500). Now when I zoom in to the coordinate (0,1000), the display stays at the same place eg. (0,500) which is now outside my screen if I zoom to much. Is there a way to constrain the display to always be on the current view? Regards, Jacques BREARD Quote
ReMark Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 If there is a system variable for constraining the display of the dynamic input it is not one I am aware of. Sorry. Most of the time I disable DI because I find it to be generally annoying no matter where it shows up. If I wanted more clutter on my screen I'd place sticky notes all over it. Quote
jbreard Posted May 6, 2009 Author Posted May 6, 2009 I understand that the DI is most of the time annoying. But I'm working on something where it helps. Sorry, where it could help. Well, I guess I will just make this another way. Ctrl+1 here I am! Thanks again Jacques BREARD Quote
dbroada Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 I don't know where the difference is but most of the information hovers around the end point on my set up. These are my initial settings Quote
jbreard Posted May 6, 2009 Author Posted May 6, 2009 Well, those are mine too. Sometimes I feel like I have to accept a part of black magic in the software... Quote
Arief Posted July 10, 2023 Posted July 10, 2023 Its 2023, and I also have the same issue, and still not getting any answers. What could I do is copying all of the drawing to a new file, then the issue solved. But it will create another problem; I'll need to make a new set of layouts. LOL. Sad. Quote
