Mr.Alex Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Hi, When I plot a landscape drawing to pdf, and then open it, the pdf needs to be rotated by 90 degrees. I've done a search on this, and found that others have had similar problems, but haven't quite understood the responces, so bear with me! I might have misunderstood the answers, but they basically said that adobe reader doesn't know which way to rotate the drawing, so defaults to portrait. I've tried it using Adobe pro, and cute pdf, and it does it with both. I am new to AutoCAD, but not new to CAD, migrating from Microstation. In that, using the same pdf writter, my pdfs open rotated as they were intended. And I frequently recieve pdfs from others that are rotated correctly. How can I do it? Thanks in advance, and appologies if this is a stupid/common question! Quote
Tankman Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Adobe Pro 9 doesn't have the rotate problem. On my Adobe Pro 6, laptops, I have to rotate the view and save. Not that great a problem. Upgrade to Pro 9 or, like I do, live with it. Not that time consuming a task. Quote
Mr.Alex Posted May 7, 2009 Author Posted May 7, 2009 Thanks Tankman, I think an upgrade to 9 is on the way anyway, so that's good. How come it's not a problem with creating pdfs from microstation (with both of my pdf writters)? It must be the way the writter communicates with AutoCAD? I'm just curious. Quote
