Hi guys, i have had a little excersion to Graphisoft ArchiCAD but decided to come back to ADT! I have slighlty forgotten what i had already lerarned and was just hoping for a quick answer to this simple question...

how do i creat a new wall type and add it to my own personalised tool pallette?

Create a template file, this is the source for all of your palette tools. Create the wall style in the template file, then drag it to a tool palette. Now every time you use the tool, it will look at your template file and pull it into the new file.

A template file is a file where you keep one instance of all of your customized content. The reasons for this are very important, when using one of your tools, it will refer back to the template file to find the instance of that content. If you add a block for example from a working drawing, the tool palette will refer back to that project file to find it, and if you have modified it in that project, it will then be modified in the new file.
