mmlabs
After exploding a 3d object, can you make it as a solid object once again?
fuccaro
I use only AutoCAD 2006 but up to this version: you can not "unexplode". I do not think that Unexplode was added in the newer versions (but I might be wrong on this). Use the resulted geometry to rebuild the solid. JD Mather
Whenever you are tempted to use the Explode command you should use the same caution you would use with an actual exposive. If you can attach the file here someone with Inventor might be able to Stitch back into a solid.
shift1313
what are you trying to do? a first explosion will result in faces, the second will result in lines. If i need some lines off of a solid i will usually make a copy then explode the copy. The only time i use explode is when i am breaking down a 3d drawing to a 2d region to send off for 2d machining operations
JD Mather
If i need some lines off of a solid i will usually make a copy then explode the copy. xedges command added in r2007 will do this without exploding solid. Might want to make a new layer active with different color before using the xedges command.

ChosenPro
Very easy, go to union tool and select the individual faces and press enter. stumbled on this by accident when subtracting geometry through 2 different sections. Hope this is of some help, Cheers
