Simple153 Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 The way I move my layout tabs is by selecting the tab, right clicking and selecting move or copy. One of my colleagues just highlights the tab and drag and drops the tab where he wants it. My conudurum is why some versions allow this drag and drop and why some don't!!! Any help would be great Cheers Si Quote
NBC Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 All versions of 2008 and beyond allow the dragging and dropping of layout tabs. All versions previous to 2008 do not allow this. Quote
jaycubbz Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 How do you move a layout in AutoCAD 2009? I cannot seem to drag and drop or anything. I can only select the layout and "move to end", but i dont want to move it to the end!! lol Quote
NBC Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 select the tab you want to move with your left mouse button, keeping it pressed down; simply drag it to wherever you want it to go. Quote
jaycubbz Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Figured it out, I had to change my "workspace setting" to "Classic AutoCAD" in order to get actual 'tabs'. With the setting that I am using i get thumbnail images of each layout in a 'ribbon' and with it set to that workspace setting it will not allow you to drag and drop the thumbnail images of each layout. chelsea1307 Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 if you like the other setting better in options>>display>> check the box that says display layout and model tabs Quote
alanjt Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 if you hold the control key down when you drag, it will copy the layout. Quote
