Provent Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Alright, so I'm trying to convert TTF fonts to a shape, or outline, or whatever. the only way I found after looking for a long time was to explode the text. That doesn't seem to work though. When I enter this command this is what I get. Command: txtexp Select text to be EXPLODED: 1 found 1 text object(s) have been exploded to lines. The line objects have been placed on layer 0. And then all my text just dissapears. Like the lines are not created or something. Is there a way to convert TTF to an outline or a shape, or lines. Whatever it is, I just don't want it TTF anymore. The font I used is ''Phantom Stencil'' Just copy and paste that in google, first link, it's a free font. Quote
BIGAL Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Try DXBOUT used to work on fonts not sure about TTF and would explode them good for 3d effects text with 3D height. Quote
totzky Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 And then all my text just dissapears. Maybe it was not actually lost. Autocad put it somewhere in your drawing window. Have you tried zooming out and find the exploded text? I have had some experiences like this before but I was able to find the exploded text. Quote

Grigs Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Or, once the text is exploded, AutoCAD is placing it on a layer that is turned off. Quote
