salman Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 The way we have find/replace command in cad available for text objects. Similarly is their some command to find similar objects in a drawing and replace them with some other object. The objects might not be blocks. Thanks. Quote
Doove Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Express tools - replace block with block. Follow instructions on command line, very easy to use. What other objects are you thinking of? Quote
ReMark Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Well the command QSelect would let you select lines, circles and polylines and work with them as a group (ex. - move them) but I do not believe there is an option for replacing them with another object. I think you would have to have a Lisp routine to do that. Quote
BIGAL Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 If your objects have been drawn bylayer then changing is just changing your layer details. Its always good practice to draw by layer makes changing much easier also its better have more layers than less. Quote
ReMark Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 I believe the OP wants to exchange one object for another and is not looking to change the layer the object resides on. It would be simplier if the objects in question were all blocks but as he states this may not always be the case. Quote
qball Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 I wonder if SSX could be used somehow? But maybe he wants to replace all lines with hexagons or something like that...... I don't know. Quote
