RyanAtNelco Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Hello, I trying to learn how to use dynamic blocks, but i am having some trouble. I am trying to make a dblock for weld symbols. On this block i would like to be able to turn on/off the field weld symbol, edit the weld size and turn on/off typ. The most difficult part of the block that i cannot get at all is the scaling to different sizes. I would like to be able to scale it so it displays at 3/32" in layout view for vp scale factors 2, 4, 8, 12, 16, 24, etc. I have attached the basic shape of the symbol. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Drawing2.dwg Quote
A1DWG Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 If you made the block annotive, would it automatically scale up to suit the viewport scale? Quote
RyanAtNelco Posted June 2, 2009 Author Posted June 2, 2009 I am not sure how that all works. Would my whole drawing have to be annotative? Does annotative effect lines or just text? Quote
A1DWG Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 in Block Editor, use the properties option to make the block annotive, this will make the whole block annotive, so it will scale to suit your viewports. Quote
