kulat_sue Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Hi all.. I was wondering, can I do simple animation in AutoCAD 2005.. Maybe a moving camera around 3D solid item for 5 sec? Quote
tzframpton Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Only thing I know you can do is simple scripting of objects to simulate animation, but nothing as far as camera movement or any type of "video" output. That all came available in version 2007 I believe. Quote
fuccaro Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 It is possible with Lisp routines as well. Search in the forum, there are old posts about this subject. Quote
papagyi Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 If you need animation with acad, you must use acad 2008/9/10! Quote
ReMark Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 The ANIPATH command was introduced in AutoCAD 2007. I'd suggest looking into using a script file to give the illusion of animation. We used to use them to run a series of drawings separated with text screens of commentary on our company's CAD computers when we had an "open house" for our new company offices. The script file would call each slide, display it for a few seconds, then call the next. We made it a continous loop so the computers could be left unattended and we could meet, greet and drink.
