edit: This problem has just happened to me again. I repaired my installation and it still is not fixed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

edit2: Just solved it. I needed to change pickfirst from 0 to 1. Woo hoo!

I'm using AutoCAD Civil 3D 2009. I'm designing a pipe network and when I right click on a pipe, I usually have the option to click on "pipe properties.." or a bunch of other choices for quick editing.

I was working on my drawing when I realized that all of those options were gone. They are the context sensitive options. i.e. if you right click a pipe it gives you the options for editing a pipe, or if you right click a label you could choose options which were specific to the label.

If anyone knows how I can bring back my right-click menu from the grave I would greatly appreciate it!

Warning: I do not use Civil 3D. That said...

Look under Tools > Options > User Preferences tab > Right-click Customization.

In model space I can right click and hit options. Then under "Windows Standard Behavior" there is an additional menu called "Right-click customization..." However, this only lets me choose what a right click does. I can either have it bring up the shortcut menu or repeat the last action. I have it set to bring up the shortcut menu, but for some reason it's not the right shortcut menu. Any ideas?

edit: This might be an issue unique to civil 3d since these menus are usually used for editing pipe networks and other things that aren't in regular CAD. However there may be something similar to this in CAD since I can't get the proper shortcuts for editing labels or anything.

edit: disregard this message. The problem came back

By some miracle the menu came back. I closed my drawing and opened a previous one and they came back. I tried this same process about 5 times earlier in the day. No idea why it worked, but glad it did.

Just got to love those self-correcting problems. Glad to hear you are back in business. Thanks for the update.

This just happened again!!! What is going on!?!?!

My context sensitive right click menus keep disappearing. For instance when I right click on a pipe I used to get options that dealt only with pipes (like swapping parts or stuff related to profile view).

Now, no matter what I click on (pipes, alignments, blocks, attributes) I only get a super basic menu that consists of bring to front, trim, etc.

Can someone please help me?

Are you using any lisps etc.?

They may be changing your settings to run and not putting them back when finished.

I tried a repair and it didn't help anything. Also, I am not using any lisps.

For some reason my pickfirst was set to 0 instead of 1. Now everything is all set :)
