qwerty Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 I have one file where I can't get grey hatches to stop overwriting lines and text. The others in our office have had a go at the problem too. We've tried all the usual fixes: draworder, xref order, wblock out to change display order, created a new DWG and put entities back in order... nothing works. Quote
Car5858 Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Are you using polyline (width=0) as a boundary? Quote
Car5858 Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 Normal style by adding ,N to the pattern name in the HPNAME system variable. See the help section for Hatch>other options. Quote
qwerty Posted June 16, 2009 Author Posted June 16, 2009 We tried that, no luck. It appears to be a bit of a bug. Quote
qwerty Posted June 16, 2009 Author Posted June 16, 2009 The hatches are bylayer, colour 252. The outline pline is on another layer, colour 9. Quote
qwerty Posted June 17, 2009 Author Posted June 17, 2009 colour 254, continuous, linewt = default. Quote
CADMASTER1128 Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 I assume that the layer is turned on. This issue is you are unable to bring to the front - the drawing order basiclly. Would it be possible to send me a copy of the draw? That way I can try and see all settings of the drawing. And see if it is an AutoCAD issue. Quote
qwerty Posted June 17, 2009 Author Posted June 17, 2009 I uploaded a zip of just the bare files: main is 07049_E01.dwg with changed_layers.dwg as the xref. Quote
qwerty Posted June 17, 2009 Author Posted June 17, 2009 07049_E01.dwg Okay - now after the tutorial, here (above) is part of the offending DWG. Quote
