Problems with match properties within hatches

Recently i've been getting crazy outcomes when I'm hatching. The most annoying being that when I want to match a hatch to another with match properties, the hatch that I want to change suddenly disappears except for one 'dot' which when I check its properties, are identical to the original hatch I used when matching properties. (e.g. scale, angle, type etc) Another issue is when I want to change the angle of a hatch the scale stays the same however when looking at the hatched area it looks like it has been multiplied x1000. So i have to manually then go and rescale the hatch many times smaller. I believe these two problems are related?? anyone know how I can fix this??

check the properties of each hatch by right clicking -> properties. Check and see if the feilds labelled origin are different (there should be an x and y). I think that may be part of the problem.

ok i checked the origins and both the original hatch and the whacko hatch are are at 0 (both x and y)

I have come across this before myself.

All the properties for the two hatches show up as exactly the same but the displayed scale of one of them is up to a thousand times bigger!

 

It seems to happen most when the offending hatch has been part of a copy and paste either within the drawing or from another drawing.

 

Unfortunately I have never found a quick solution; only to delete the offending hatch and re-hatch the area.

This is indeed what I am experiencing. Unfortunately this project is estimated to last a few more months and I really need this to be fixed. Is ithere a setting to be manipulated somewheres?
