kenny Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Hi, Re: Cad 2009 in USA I have several points in model space. The point style size is 1.0 - set size relative to screen. The point in my legend (1:1) is larger than the point in viewspace scale 1:40). All other annotative objects are scaled correctly at 1:40. What did I do wrong? Thanks in advance, Ken Quote
AVITWeb Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Try setting the point style to absolute units. The problem is that when its set relative to screen size, it will always be different. Quote
kenny Posted June 19, 2009 Author Posted June 19, 2009 In absolute units, the model space remains the same and the legend point increases to about 100 times the size. Quote
Lee Mac Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Maybe I'm missing something, but I thought PDSIZE = 0.0 was relative to screen. Quote
AVITWeb Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 If you control it using FORMAT>POINT STLYE, in the dialogue there is a check box for Screen Size or Absolute Quote
kenny Posted June 22, 2009 Author Posted June 22, 2009 I'm not familiar with PDSIZE, but it is set to -1. When I set it to 0, the point size enlarges. If I go to format, point style it is changed from 1.0 to 5.0 Quote

kenny Posted June 22, 2009 Author Posted June 22, 2009 It seems that this is another way of modifying the point. I still have the same problem - the point not being able to be annotative. I thought I could trace it the point (I'm using an "X") in paperspace so the point in the legend will be the same size. Kind of backwards it seems. But this doesn't even work! It looks like I may have to revert back to working and printing from model space. Quote
kenny Posted June 23, 2009 Author Posted June 23, 2009 Anyone there? Is there a way to fix this? I hate to go back to printing from model space. Quote
Car5858 Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 In Model space, place your point. Dtext> down arrow will open the menu, Select justify>center, down arrow> style select the text style annotative>enter, select start point>enter down arrow> Select rotation angle> enter, Down arrow> input text size>enter type "X" (leave off the qoutation marks) The text will be annotative. Select the text "X", the grips will appear. Move the center grip to the point center node. This places the center of the X at the center node of the point. Then erase the point. This should then plot annotative Quote
kenny Posted June 23, 2009 Author Posted June 23, 2009 thanks - the problem is that a letter "X" is different than the point "X". I traced the point "X" at 1:1 and created a block. It is only visible in model space at the 1:40 scale. At 1:1 i get a message that hatch is too dense. Quote
