Pasting at co ordinate

Hi guys

 

Can someone explain to me how to paste an object at a specific co-ordinate? I have the co-ordinate, I have the object, but unsure how to paste it at that exact spot.

just type it in, 0,0 or 100,346 etc.

 

however this only works if your object has been selected with a sensible base point. If it is a block ENSURE the insertion point is where you would want it to be. If it is a set of objects you selected with , use and select your base point.

It is a circular block. I wanted to move it to the new position, so I activated MOVE, selected the centre of the object, inputted the co ordinates via Dynamic input, then pushed enter and it vanishes.

Where am I going wrong?

using dynamic input and you want to place it at (say) 160,130 you need to define the point with a #

 

#160,130

 

if you just type 160,130 it will move BY that amount.
