Hello,

I'm working on a drawing of a 3d crane and I need rotate one of the booms. The problem is when I open it up in block editor it won't let me switch the ucs to the plane I need to rotate around. I am using autoCAD 2009. If anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, but the block editor only uses the world UCS and does not allow for switching/rotating. If you're trying to add dynamic movement to 3D solids, you'll need to make sure everything rotates on the z-axis in the WUCS. This has been one of my biggest complaints with the block editor/dynamic block design process.

Ya that's a bit of a pain. I just used the edit block in place to get it the way I wanted to.
