SteveB Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Hello Im brand new to this site and signed in today! Im using autocad 2000 and would like to know how to change the dimensions from feet & inches to mm Thanks Quote
StevenMc Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 i've never used AutoCAD 2000 the earliest i've used is 2004 but from my knowlage of that you could try dimension style from the dimension toolbar. then modify and there should be options to change the units. let me know if this is the solution and how you get on. steven. Zorg Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Thats correct, just type DDIM and it will bring up your style manager. There are some good tutorials on here and in the help section of AuctoCAD (F1) for dimension styles. You just need to select your units there and the units in your drawing by typing UNITS. Hope this helps. Z Quote
ReMark Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 It's been a while since I used 2000 but I seem to recall that there were two system variables that controlled this. Measurement would set the drawing units (English or Metric) for the current drawing while the variable MeasureInit would set the units for new drawings when they were created. Are you going through the Startup dialog box by any chance? If so, click on the Start from scratch button. This should give you a choice between the two. Disclaimer: I am not an AutoCAD expert. I just happen to be lucky enough to guess right more times than I guess wrong. But when I guess wrong I do it big time. Quote
