CADswoop Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 How can I set my dimension style to be the same style every time I start Autocad 2002. I have written some code for standard title blocks that I use but I can't get the dimension style to stay. Below is the code that is supposed to start with the title block. ;FOR DIFFERENT SCALE MODIFY DRAWING SETTINS 0NLY, (defun c:FULL (/ cdate currdwg g count dwg today inspt sc rotang dwgsc dn quant desc1 desc2 tag po mat fin sls) ;drawing settings (command "dimstyle" "restore" "standard") (setvar "DIMSCALE" 1.000) (setvar "DIMCEN" -0.06) (setvar "LTSCALE" 0.250) (setvar "TEXTSIZE" 0.100) ;DO NOT CHANGE PARAMETERS BELOW THIS LINE Quote
ReMark Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 Your best bet is to create a template with everything you need already set up and save it. This includes layers, fonts, dimension styles, etc. Quote

Dimstyle invokes the popup and -dimstyle the console sequence. and I mean try, I can't test this script. Quote
Seanfts Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 I just know this, you can drag your dimensiona into AutoCAD tool palette and use it when necessary. Enter TOOLPALETTES in command line. Drag your dimension into the tool palette, you will now find a new 'Liner Dimension' added in your tools. You can give it a name, and next time when you need a same style dimension, you can use this illustration. --- Sean AutoDWG Quote

Seanfts Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 My bad. It seems the feature is not in 2002. I can get it work on 2009. Quote
dbroada Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 That is an unknown command in AutoCAD 2002 although I think you can use design centre to the same effect Quote
