Hello Folks,

I am trying to do a clean uninstall and then a clean install of Inventor 2009 Pro. I also did a uninstall of Mocrosoft SQL. Now the problem is that I can't seem to get Inventor to install the ADMS and Content Center Libraries at all,,, it just hangs up. Does Inventor install the SQL or was that a seperate install that was originally on my machine. And does anyone have any suggetions on resolving these issues. By the way, I am loading inventor as single user on a standalone system.

Appreciate any help, thanks in advance

Use the following to do a clean install of Inventor 2009. First, uninstall Inventor, ADMS, and Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 via Add/Remove Programs. After uninstalling these applications, Locate and delete the following folders:

  • C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 2009
  • C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Autodesk\Inventor 2009

After deleting these folders, locate and delete the following Registry Keys:

  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\Inventor
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\Inventor

Restart your computer and install Inventor 2009.

Thanks Darin for the info,,,, have done that but still seems to hang up on the ADMS,,, not sure if it's something to do in the registry with SQL. Does Inventor load the SQL from it's disk??

Thanks again

Yes, Inventor loads SQL from the Inventor DVD. When you uninstalled ADMS from add\remove programs, did you delete the file store folder?

Hey Darin,,,,, I think I did, but I will have to check. Can you give me a heads up on what the name may be so I can be sure?

Thanks
