aravindkpe Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 Dear all, i am using Acad 2005 for two years. since now i started to use acad 2010. i did find the difference in layer isolation. in 2005 if you do layer isolation, only the particular layer visible. then can be select all of them in one window. without disturbing other layers. but in 2010 while i isolate a layer, other layers also visible in the backround. when i select the isolated layer in one window, also the backround layers also getting selected. i am facing problem in selecting the isolated layer all objects in one window. please anybody help me how to do selection or how to work on that? ReMark Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 What is the value of LAYLOCKFADECTL set to? You do realize the max value is 90 don't you? Quote
amunz81 Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 it is set to 90, the highest level. everything else turns off except the background. could it be because the background is x-ref'd in? Quote
ReMark Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 I can't answer that. I do not use Xrefs. But I suppose anything is possible. Quote
rkent Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Start the layiso command, notice the command line options [Off/Lock and fade]. You will want to pick Off to get back to what you are used to seeing. Quote
Derek Toering Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Yes I too have got this problem and this has fixed it. Thanks also. Quote
GOSGOOD73 Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 Or, go isolate command, settings turn setting to "off" instead of Lock and faded.
